The floor is rough in some spots. They really dont show in this "before" pic.

I used http://www.rustoleum.com/product.asp?frm_product_id=56&SBL=1 in the gray color. I cleaned the surface with a commercial floor degreaser and then Simple Green in a concentrate form. I rinsed it more times than the instructions called for. I still ended up with a little lifting in a low spot. I did use a squeegee. The previous homeowner built the garage and didnt do a great job on the concrete.

I had to paint the floor over a couple days. I was doing it a couple hours a night after work. Once the epoxy is mixed it has to be used withing a certain time. You can see some of my joints because the epoxy dried too much before I went over it on the next square.

Im happy with so far. Its been down for about a year.
These pics were taken right after it was done.

I went up the walls about an inch or so.

I wrote "FORD" with the paint chips on one side of the garage.

I need to get a recent photo because the oil and dirt really make the letters stand out now.

Great job on the floor. It must be easier to keep clean now.

Thanks.
Yes it is a lot easier to clean. What I like is that a few small leaks from the trannies and engines sitting around dont soak in. The FORD part is real rough because of the paint chips. I havent given the floor a good scrub since finishing it.

Ive noticted that the gray doesnt seem to ba as shiny as the tan. May be its just me?

I think the gray is a nicer color - it looks more "industrial"

I know what you mean.
Too bad the epoxy isnt strong enough to protect the floor from a car sub frame being dragged on it. Even if it was just a couple inches.:o
