Hi - I happened on this site chasing links for bicycle storage ideas.
The garage is pretty raw. I've almost completed the cabinet for above the bench, but the temperature is starting to shut me down on any further progress.
The garage is used to house a daily driver and a conversion van. Car and boat maintenance are done in it. It also stores recreational equipment, big home maintenance equipment, gardening tools and supplies.
I was thrilled to get the bench cabinet up on the wall and unpack some things after 7 years of working out of cardboard boxes (didn't know I had 5 cans of carb cleaner:p ). As they say on HGTV, the "inspiration" for the cabinet/bench design is coming from Sauder's Hot Rod Garage series. The cabinets will be made out of 3/4" MDF. Finish/colors is hammered black for the sides, hammered silver for the doors, and gloss white for the cabinet interior.
I've decided I want a checkerboard black and silver or light grey epoxy floor. I hope it stands up to the steel wheels on the floor jack. In the area that I'm working on the textured dry wall is painted semi-gloss white. But I see a lot of other options that intrigue me from all your pictures so I'm going to think about that over winter. And I want to add heat.:D
