As my name reveals, I live in Toronto, Ontario, I've lurked here for many months prior to joining but decided to take the plunge when I decided to finish the garage recently.
My goal is to convert the garage to both a work space for my hobby cars and a den for me to put my desk and papers as I have converted my den into a play room. The garage already had insulated and drywalled walls and ceiling from when we moved in, so the job shouldn't be too big. So far I have torn out the old '50s kitchen cabinets and put in an insulated door and floor tiles. The garage is now 'liveable' though far from finished. Plans for this summer are to fix up and paint the walls, put in new cabinets and a workbench, change the lighting, and then figure out how to have a den area while still leaving room to work on the cars. I've included a few shots of where I'm at so far. Pardon the mess and the bad angles. It's not that big a space. The ceiling is only 7' high! Any tips/comments are welcome.
Pardon the small pics but it was the only way I could get them to less than 40kb.
