Garage Addition

Well, the 16x20 "Midget Room" addition to my Garage-Mahal is enclosed and the 16'x16' carport in front of it has the rafters up awaiting the roof. I think I want to put an overhead rail & engine hoist under that carport. Any ideas on how to go about it? I already have a hoist; just need the I-beam & some thoughts for erecting. I can put a post under one end but will have to support the I-beam some other way on the opposite end as its open to the garage itself.

I saw an I-beam with a chain hoist in a standard two-car garage a couple years back. I think the guy had reinforced the header above the garage door, but Im not sure how he did the vertical supports on either end.
